Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current UK professional registration (Mental Health/LD/Adult)
- Post-qualification experience in the relevant care group
- Experience conducting risk assessments and clinical interventions
- Knowledge of CPA principles
- Ability to work in partnership with various teams and agencies
- Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
- Understanding of clinical governance
- Willingness to supervise students and junior staff
- Flexibility in covering duty rotas
Salary Details:
The salary range for this position is £28,407 – £34,581 annually, depending on experience. The position offers full-time hours with the potential for overtime.
About the Role:
The Community Mental Health Nurse will manage a caseload of clients within the Dementia and Older Persons Mental Health Service. This role involves leading assessments, planning, and delivering interventions. They will contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide specialist care as part of a comprehensive care pathway. The successful candidate will offer risk assessments and participate in the development of services, all while supporting students and junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs
- Provide specialist assessments and interventions
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Support and cover duty rotas
- Contribute to risk management planning
- Facilitate both individual and group interventions
