The Opportunity

The Adult Critical Care Unit at King’s Mill Hospital is on the lookout for enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Support Workers to join their dedicated team. This 15-bedded unit plays a crucial role within both the Trust and the East-Midlands Critical Care Network, offering a unique opportunity for professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized personal care to patients in the Adult Critical Care Unit
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
  • Support in the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities

What You’ll Need

  • NVQ 2 in care or equivalent
  • Good standard of general education (GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above)
  • Care Certificate or commitment to achieving it within 2 weeks of starting
  • Previous care work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
