About the Role:
Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their Estates & Facilities team as a Mobile Housekeeper. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of patients and staff by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across two hospital sites.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing efficient food and beverage services while adhering to Food Safety and Hygiene legislation and Improving the Patient Experience (ItPE) protocols. They’ll also be responsible for delivering an effective cleaning service in line with NHS National Standards Cleanliness 2021.

The role involves working between Lynfield Mount and Airedale Centre for Mental Health, offering a diverse range of experiences and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with patients, service users, and clinical leads regarding meal choices and dietary needs
  • Serve meals and maintain food quality from preparation to service
  • Ensure constant availability of hot and cold beverages for patients and service users
  • Maintain appropriate food stock levels and ensure correct product rotation
  • Provide general cleaning services in inpatient areas, communal spaces, offices, and non-clinical areas
  • Adhere to National Colour Coding for infection prevention and control
  • Follow safe working practices and COSHH regulations
  • Assist with the removal of bodily fluids and clean-up processes when required
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff and departmental leads on housekeeping matters
