About the Role:
NCH&C is looking for a dedicated Clinical Support Worker to join their team at Swaffham Community Hospital. In this role, you’ll work under the direction of Registered Nurses, contributing to the highest standards of patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll play a crucial part in supporting patients’ wellbeing, carrying out essential care tasks, and ensuring accurate documentation of care delivery. This position offers an opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives while developing your skills in a supportive NHS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out instructions from Registered Nurses accurately and promptly
  • Perform duties specified in the trust’s Approved Core Task List for Clinical Support Workers
  • Report any concerns or changes in patients’ conditions to registered staff
  • Support patients’ emotional well-being through positive conversations and encouraging participation in ward activities
  • Accurately document all care delivered, including electronic recording on trust systems
  • Respond appropriately to clinical emergencies
  • Adhere to all trust policies, procedures, and nursing guidelines

Requirements:

  • GCSE Grade 5 in English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Care Certificate or equivalent healthcare experience
  • Previous experience in a nursing or care assistant role
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Basic IT and computer skills
  • Ability to work 12.5-hour shift patterns (day/night)
  • Flexibility to work in other community hospitals within the trust as needed
