Requirements
- Completed Secondary Education.
- GCSE English (A*-C) or equivalent.
- Experience of working with Eating Disorders is desirable but not essential.
- Friendly and motivated with a commitment to person-centred care.
About the Role
This is a wonderful opportunity for a Healthcare Support Worker to develop their expertise in a specialist Eating Disorder Service. You will work within the MDT in developing and implementing care for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day care to a designated group of patients under the direction and supervision of qualified nursing staff, following care plans.
- Be fully aware of the individual needs of patients and their presence on the Unit.
- Carry out basic housekeeping duties as directed by the Nurse-in-Charge.
- Record and document physical observations (after training) and report significant findings.
- Complete Venepuncture (after training).
- Provide meal support and post-meal support to patients.
