Requirements:
- Relevant Level 3 qualification (NVQ/QCF Diploma or equivalent) in childcare or a related field.
- Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children in a childcare, health, or social care setting.
- Understanding of child development and the role of play in learning.
- Confidence in communicating with families and providing advice.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various IT packages.
- A passion for improving the health and well-being of children.

About the Role:
As a Public Health Assistant – Early Years, you’ll join the Health Visiting team in Kent, working directly with families and their children aged 0-5. You’ll be delivering the Healthy Child Programme, conducting developmental reviews, and providing valuable support to parents and caregivers. This is an exciting opportunity to use your passion for child development to make a real difference in the community. Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing children’s growth and development using tools like the Ages and Stages questionnaire.
- Providing guidance and support to parents and caregivers on various aspects of child development. Your knowledge and expertise will empower families to nurture their children’s growth.
- Identifying and escalating any concerns regarding a child’s health or well-being. Your vigilance will ensure children receive the appropriate care and support.
