Requirements:

NCA is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join their ophthalmology team. If you have experience in care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for learning, this could be the perfect role for you. An NVQ Level 3 is preferred, but equivalent experience is also welcomed.

  • An NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experience is essential.
  • You’ll also need a Care Certificate and Level 1 Literacy and Numeracy (or equivalent GCSEs).
  • Experience as a Care Support Worker or similar role in a health or social care setting is required.
  • Experience working as part of a team is essential.
  • Good communication (written and verbal) and basic IT skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills are also important.

Salary Details:

£24,071 to £25,674 a year pro rata

As a Healthcare Assistant in the Eye Outpatient Department at Rochdale Infirmary, you’ll be supporting qualified staff in delivering patient-focused care. You’ll play a key role in performing specialist testing, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
