Job Overview
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the dedicated Critical Care team at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. As a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker, you will play a key role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care for both elective surgical patients and emergency admissions across all specialties.

Main Duties
- Provide direct support to nursing, medical, and allied health staff.
- Assist in patient care activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
- Monitor and report patient conditions under the supervision of qualified staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe care environment.
- Document relevant patient information accurately.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Basic numeracy, literacy, and verbal communication skills.
- Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience).
- Demonstrates understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
- Strong ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of the All Wales Induction Framework.
- Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
