Edgefield Ward is a 36-bedded acute Urology ward specializing in the care of elective and non-elective patients, including those requiring lithotripsy and robotic surgery.
Nursing teams collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, delivering integrated and patient-centered care through a multidisciplinary approach.
This position provides an opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge required to care for a range of complex urology patients.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Provide high standards of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
  • Act as a leader in the clinical area in the absence of a senior staff member.
  • Ensure adherence to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and work within the limits of competence.
  • Support NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People-focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication, and Excellence in all aspects of work.

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential)

  • Registered Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC Register
  • Willingness to develop professionally and complete the Trust’s mentorship preparation program (if applicable)

Additional Information
