Job Overview
The Neonatal team at Walsall is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join the team. This opportunity is ideal for both newly qualified nurses and those looking to further develop their skills in neonatal care. The role will involve developing assessment and communication skills while enhancing clinical knowledge. The successful candidate will receive training through BCU/Keele University in Foundations in Neonatal Care and a Practice Focused Neonatal Intensive Care course. A strong passion for improving neonatal care and the experience of babies and their families is essential.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Demonstrate effective clinical skills in caring for special, high-dependency, and intensive care babies.
  • Develop clinical skills through post-registration academic study.
  • Work with families to empower them to become partners in the care of their babies.
  • Administer medications competently and safely.
  • Maintain high standards of infection control and prevention.
  • Supervise student nurses and midwives.
  • Maintain Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) standards.
