Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
- Safe and Effective Clinical Practice
Assist registered nurses/health care professionals in delivering individualized holistic patient care under established protocols, policies, and procedures. Ensure consent is obtained before delivering patient care. Involve relatives and carers in care delivery with helpful and friendly interaction, providing appropriate information. Deliver care with compassion and respect while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Participate in risk assessments and ensure safe care practices, including the accurate measurement and recording of physiological observations, blood glucose levels, and sample collection. Document observations and care accurately, reporting actions to the supervising registered nurse or health care professional. Ensure appropriate moving and handling techniques are used and report relevant information to the accountable registered nurse. - Enhancing the Patient Experience
Prioritize the care and positive experience of patients. Address patient concerns and escalate as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors, adhering to relevant legislation and protocols. Ensure clinical areas are appropriately stocked and report incidents or hazards promptly. - Professional Behavior
Demonstrate courteous, compassionate, and professional behavior, respecting the dignity of all, including deceased patients and their families. Maintain a professional image as a Trust employee, upholding its values and objectives.
