This is an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality neonatal services across our Trust.
About the Role
As part of our senior neonatal nursing team, the Clinical Lead Nurse will:
- Provide visible and effective leadership across our two neonatal units at Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Hospital Burton.
- Take responsibility for nursing care on our 26-cot Local Neonatal Unit, 8-cot Special Care Baby Unit, and newly commissioned transitional care units.
- Ensure patient safety, high standards of nursing care, and a positive patient experience across both sites.
- Act as a role model, mentor, and guide for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and excellence.
This role requires substantial neonatal nursing expertise and demonstrated leadership experience.
Who We Are Looking For
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse/Registered Midwife with valid NMC registration.
- Recognized Neonatal Nursing qualification.
- At least one year of Band 6 experience in neonatal care.
- Recent clinical and leadership experience in neonatal services.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
- NLS qualification (Neonatal Life Support).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
