Main Duties of the Job
The Ward Manager will hold overall responsibility for ensuring the provision of excellent care with compassion within the ward or department. Key responsibilities include:

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
- Appropriate NMC registration
- Mentorship qualification
- Post-registration qualifications relevant to the role
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Completion of or willingness to undertake a leadership and development program equivalent to the internal Band 6 program
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 4 ILM or equivalent
Knowledge & Experience (Essential)
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance, Safeguarding, and relevant policies
- Understanding of ethical issues in practice
