Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • At least 12 months of care experience in a similar role
  • Possess a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Flexible availability, including alternate weekends
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent reporting skills, and a caring disposition

About the Role

Care South is searching for passionate and dedicated Specialist Home Care Assistants to support individuals in Crewkerne and surrounding areas. This community-based role focuses on empowering clients to regain independence while maintaining their dignity.

Specialist Home Care Assistants will:

  • Deliver high-quality personal care, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, and dressing
  • Help clients build confidence and adapt to independent living
  • Take responsibility for clients’ overall well-being, respecting their unique needs and preferences
  • Work flexible shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including alternate weekends

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to ensure clients remain independent in their own homes
  • Foster confidence in clients to return to independent living
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of care activities and client progress
  • Adhere to Care South’s HEART values, ensuring every interaction reflects compassion and respect
