Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- At least 12 months of care experience in a similar role
- Possess a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
- Flexible availability, including alternate weekends
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent reporting skills, and a caring disposition
About the Role
Care South is searching for passionate and dedicated Specialist Home Care Assistants to support individuals in Crewkerne and surrounding areas. This community-based role focuses on empowering clients to regain independence while maintaining their dignity.
Specialist Home Care Assistants will:
- Deliver high-quality personal care, including assistance with hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Help clients build confidence and adapt to independent living
- Take responsibility for clients’ overall well-being, respecting their unique needs and preferences
- Work flexible shifts between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, including alternate weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to ensure clients remain independent in their own homes
- Foster confidence in clients to return to independent living
- Maintain meticulous documentation of care activities and client progress
- Adhere to Care South’s HEART values, ensuring every interaction reflects compassion and respect
