As a Registered Care Home Manager, you will lead a dedicated team to provide bespoke care for individuals aged 18+ with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and challenging needs. Role Overview and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Collaborate with the Area Operations Manager to build strong relationships with stakeholders, care managers, and customers.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to staff, ensuring a high standard of care and professionalism.
- Oversee recruitment and staff development, ensuring the team possesses the necessary skills and experience.
- Person-Centred Care:
- Advocate for the rights and preferences of the people we support.
- Develop, review, and implement individualised support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure all care provided aligns with CIW standards and exceeds regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate staff rotas and on-call schedules to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct regular team meetings, appraisals, and performance reviews.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Foster relationships with families, healthcare professionals, social workers, and local authorities.
- Promote the service’s values and achievements, building trust and satisfaction among all stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance service effectiveness.
- Lead by example to inspire a culture of excellence and continuous development.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- QCF Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management (or equivalent).
- Proven management experience in a similar setting, with a strong track record of quality care and successful inspections.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional knowledge of regulatory frameworks and social care standards.
- Passion for enabling individuals with Learning Disabilities and Autism to achieve their aspirations.
- Computer literate with excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to providing outstanding care.
Desirable Qualities:
- Prior experience working in residential or domiciliary care.
- Familiarity with CIW compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and empowerment.
