Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients with transfers, movement, and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Meal Support: Prepare meals, assist with feeding, and ensure dietary needs are met.
- Medication Assistance: Administer prescribed medications and provide reminders or prompts.
- Health Monitoring: Take vital signs, observe clients’ health conditions, and report any changes to healthcare professionals.
- Household Tasks: Assist with light cleaning, laundry, and shopping to support clients’ daily living needs.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship, ensuring clients feel valued and cared for.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records, including observations and any changes in clients’ conditions.
- Safety and Environment: Identify and address potential hazards to ensure a safe home environment for clients.
- Client Dignity and Independence: Promote clients’ autonomy, privacy, and personal preferences in all aspects of care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to coordinate effective care plans.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, confidentiality guidelines, and company policies.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of home care experience (required).
- Language: Must be proficient in English (required).
- Driving: Applicants must have a car and a valid UK driving licence.
