Requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths – at Grade 4 (C) or equivalent
- Registered Nurse Associate or Level 4 Health & Social Care – or Qualified Assistant Practitioner
- Experience working with children and young people – especially in health or education
- Strong IT skills – familiar with Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
- Excellent communicator – able to build trust with families and colleagues
- Good time management – confident handling your own workload
- Bonus if you’ve got experience with continence services, NHS children’s services, or EMIS systems
Salary Details
This role offers a Band 4 NHS salary of £26,530 – £29,114 per year, depending on experience. You’ll also enjoy NHS employment benefits, from generous leave to pension contributions.
About the Role

You’ll work closely with registered nurses in a supportive work environment, teaching and empowering families, carers, and professionals through care plans, toilet training, and continence strategies. Sometimes you’ll fly solo, other times you’ll partner up – either way, you’ll be an essential part of someone’s journey toward better health. You’ll visit homes, schools, and clinics across the community, delivering interventions that matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured toilet training and continence support to children and families
- Visit homes, clinics, and schools as part of planned care pathways
- Educate carers and professionals on bladder and bowel management
- Carry out assessments for continence products and equipment
- Work independently and alongside nurses to deliver impactful care
- Manage and prioritise your own schedule
