Requirements
- Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (e.g. NVQ, OCN)
- Confident working solo or in group settings
- Strong planning, reflection, and communication skills
- Experience in healthcare, social care, or teaching environments
- Physically able to assist patients using equipment like hoists
- Willing to learn and contribute to service improvements
- Desirable but not essential: Ability to speak Welsh

Band 4 pay scale, offering £26,928 – £29,551 annually depending on experience
About the Role

As an Occupational Therapy Technician, you’ll work closely with Occupational Therapists across Swansea’s learning disability community services, helping individuals thrive in everyday life. You’ll support specialist assessments, guide therapeutic plans, and offer real, practical help that makes a difference. Key Responsibilities
- Support therapists with client care across hospital, community, and home settings
- Carry out therapy interventions under guidance

- Handle basic admin and service coordination tasks

Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role falls under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975. A Disclosure submission to the DBS will be required to check for previous criminal convictions.
