Requirements
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent postgraduate qualification
- Registered with HCPC – confirmation of registration is needed before starting
- Paediatric experience during clinical placement – shows hands-on readiness
- Strong communication skills – work closely with families, schools, and health teams
- Assessment and case management – ability to assess, diagnose, and manage SLCN
- Positive attitude – someone who thrives in collaborative, child-focused settings
Salary Details
29,970 – 36,483 GBP per year based on NHS Band 5 scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage children’s speech, language, and communication needs across settings
- Keep clear, accurate case notes following Trust and HCPC guidelines
- Provide tailored advice and reports for parents, carers, and education staff
- Collaborate with education, social care, and medical professionals
- Deliver written care plans and educational reports as needed
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings
- Support delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care
