Requirements

  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent postgraduate qualification
  • Registered with HCPC – confirmation of registration is needed before starting
  • Paediatric experience during clinical placement – shows hands-on readiness
  • Strong communication skills – work closely with families, schools, and health teams
  • Assessment and case management – ability to assess, diagnose, and manage SLCN
  • Positive attitude – someone who thrives in collaborative, child-focused settings
