Requirements

  • Recognised SLT degree and HCPC registration
  • Postgrad dysphagia qualification or willingness to gain it (Band 5 supported)
  • Strong communication and a knack for teamwork
  • Experience with adult patients, ideally with acquired neuro conditions
  • Evidence of CPD and a solid handle on Microsoft Office
  • Time management skills and the ability to stay calm in complex situations
  • Driving licence and car for community visits

Salary Details

Pay range is £34,521 – £50,697 depending on experience and qualifications, with full NHS benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver holistic SLT care to adults with acquired needs
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary community teams
  • Assess and manage dysphagia and communication difficulties
  • Deliver training to carers and assistants
  • Support clinical audits and service improvement projects
  • Supervise students and therapy assistants
  • Contribute to integrated care across boroughs
