Salary Details

This role is paid in line with Band 4 on the NHS Agenda for Change scale, which includes annual pay progression, pension scheme access, and enhanced benefits for NHS employees.

About the Role

Here’s a role where you’ll never be stuck in one place. As an Assistant Psychologist, you’ll rotate across several specialist services, including chronic fatigue, post-COVID fatigue, cancer support, respiratory care, occupational health, and diabetes management. Working shoulder to shoulder with clinical psychologists and allied health professionals, you’ll deliver low-intensity interventions to help clients better understand and manage long-term health conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of low-intensity interventions for long-term conditions
  • Help clients adjust to physical health diagnoses and improve coping strategies
  • Contribute to psychological assessments and treatment plans
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary teams across hospital and community settings
  • Assist with audit, evaluation, and research projects
  • Deliver group interventions and support teaching activities
  • Travel to clinics, homes, and health bases across the region
