Requirements

  • NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care Management (or equivalent)
  • Solid experience in care management, ideally within domiciliary or agency settings
  • Confidence leading care teams with a warm, hands-on approach
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and a head for organisation
  • Up-to-date knowledge of care planning for complex conditions
  • Familiarity with CQC standards, care regulations, and financial processes
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for care documentation
  • A full UK driving licence for occasional travel
  • Previous experience working with both children and adult clients

About the Role

This isn’t just management—it’s leadership with heart. The Care Manager is the linchpin holding care teams together and elevating every client’s journey. Think of yourself as the calm in the storm, the go-to for both strategy and day-to-day care operations. You’ll be shaping care plans, coaching staff, and building trust with clients and their families. It’s fast-paced, no doubt, but with support and resources in place, you’ll have room to shine.

You’ll be at the helm of a seven-day-a-week home care service, where your actions directly affect the quality of life for every client. Expect variety, challenge, and the deep satisfaction that comes from knowing your work makes a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the care team to deliver smooth, high-quality care all week
  • Create and evolve care plans tailored to individual client needs
  • Supervise, coach, and develop care staff to bring out their best
  • Ensure all services meet or exceed CQC expectations
  • Build lasting relationships with clients and their families
  • Monitor care outcomes, keeping standards high and actions responsive
  • Coordinate effectively with health professionals for joined-up support
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records aligned with organisational policy
  • Drive business growth through excellent service delivery
