Requirements

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (A to C) or Level II equivalent
  • NVQ/QCF Level 4, or Level 3 with additional Diploma training
  • Experience in a caring role, preferably involving neuro or older adult support
  • Solid communication and teamworking skills
  • Basic IT literacy and ability to work across professional boundaries
  • Self-motivation with a proactive approach to delivering care
  • Skilled in group facilitation and one-to-one sessions
  • Understanding of rehabilitation techniques and equipment use
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused approaches and multidisciplinary teams

Salary Details

They’re offering between £26,928 and £29,551 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

About the Role

Working with the Welsh Neuropsychiatry Service, this role is hands-on and human first. The Multi-Professional Rehabilitation Assistant will be part of a diverse and evolving team, working alongside occupational therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and nurses. Every day, they’ll help deliver person-centred rehab that’s tailored, goal-driven, and grounded in compassion.

They’ll be based on Ash Ward or Ash Day Unit at Hafan y Coed, within University Hospital Llandough. Think of this as more than just a job. It’s an invitation to help people reclaim parts of their lives after brain injury, using a mix of physical, cognitive, and emotional interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run group and individual sessions across different settings to encourage independence
  • Help deliver therapy plans under the guidance of registered professionals
  • Promote self-care, physical activity, communication, and leisure activities
  • Work with carers and families to support long-term outcomes
  • Assist in the installation and safe use of aids or equipment
  • Maintain records, monitor progress, and provide feedback to the MDT
  • Support students and junior support staff in delivering high standards of care
