Requirements
- Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC
- BTEC or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
- AIMMS and/or ACT accredited or working toward it
- Good knowledge of pharmacy electronic systems and Microsoft tools
- Prior experience in hospital pharmacy and ward-based clinical work
- Strong communication and planning skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in audits and medicines reconciliation

About the Role
This is more than a pharmacy technician job. It’s a chance to help reduce medicine waste, support safer prescribing, and make sure every patient gets what they need, when they need it. Based across Hackney, you’ll work across multiple sites using digital systems to keep stock flowing and ensure continuity of care.
You’ll be front and centre in medicines reconciliation, ward stock reviews, and audit activities. Their team values input from everyone, and you’ll be actively involved in clinical meetings where your insights matter. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain timely medication supply across wards
- Review and optimise medicine stock to cut waste and improve access
- Support medicines reconciliation within 72 hours of patient admission
- Deliver patient-focused interventions to support safer prescribing
- Participate in audits and maintain accurate documentation
- Support the clinical pharmacy team to meet KPI and CQUIN goals
- Prepare discharge meds and liaise with community pharmacies and GPs
- Be an active presence in multidisciplinary meetings
- Work weekend shifts on a rota basis to keep services running
