Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or Science Manufacturing Technician (or working towards it)
  • Member of the GPhC, Science Council, or equivalent registration body
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or experience in a QC lab/pharmaceutical setting
  • Experience preparing aseptic products in a team setting
  • Friendly, reliable, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work weekends, evenings, or bank holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare sterile parenteral medicines to exacting quality standards
  • Rotate across chemotherapy, intravenous additives, and nutrition services
  • Handle both hospital-based and home-patient products
  • Supervise workflows and train junior staff as needed
  • Maintain cleanroom procedures using GMP standards
  • Respond to queries within defined protocols or escalate appropriately
  • Work flexibly across shift patterns including weekends or holidays
  • Use IT systems and production tools with accuracy and care
