About the Role
This is a chance to make a real difference in young people’s lives at Parkview. As an Activity Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of creating engaging, therapeutic activities that bring structure and joy to young people’s recovery journey. Working alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll plan and facilitate activities ranging from sports days to creative projects like ‘The Great Parkview Bake Off’.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing
  • Create safe, inclusive spaces where young people feel comfortable expressing themselves
  • Support both ward-based and outdoor activities within hospital grounds
  • Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to reach vulnerable young people
  • Maintain accurate activity records and participate in care planning
  • Adapt activities to meet individual needs and abilities

Requirements

  • GCSE A-C in Maths and English or Level 2 in numeracy and literacy
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – your ability to connect matters most
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Passion for supporting young people’s mental health journey
