Requirements
- GCSE English and Maths (C or above) or equivalent qualification
- Strong administrative background with proven database management skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Proactive mindset with ownership and accountability in a busy environment
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience supporting teams or working in a clinical setting (desirable)
- Awareness of confidentiality and data protection principles
Salary Details
This permanent, part-time Band 3 role offers £30,546 to £32,207 per annum inclusive of HCA.
About the Role
As an Administrative Assistant in Palliative Medicine, you’ll play a vital role in coordinating administrative processes that keep patient care running smoothly. You’ll work closely with three teams – Enhanced Supportive Care, Specialist Palliative Care, and Transforming End of Life Care – ensuring seamless communication and efficient record management. Every detail you manage helps create calm for patients and clarity for clinicians.
You’ll also liaise with the Medical Examiners Service, maintaining sensitive data and supporting accurate reporting. This role suits someone who enjoys balancing compassion with precision – a steady hand in moments that matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate administrative tasks to support multidisciplinary teams and patients
- Maintain databases and records to ensure accuracy and continuity of care
- Provide clear communication across teams for timely information sharing
- Support the Medical Examiners Service with administrative accuracy and confidentiality
