Requirements
- Registered with NMC, HCPC or SWE as a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or OT
- Experience in mental health care, especially around crisis or early intervention
- Knowledge of psychosis and recovery-based planning
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfortable working out in the community and in client homes
- Own transport for visiting various locations within Watford
Salary Details
They offer a Band 6 salary starting at £39,205 up to £47,084 per annum, pro rata, which includes a 5% High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS).
About the Role
This role is perfect if you’re looking to deepen your clinical expertise while building leadership experience. You’ll be working as a Care Coordinator in their PATH team, supporting people experiencing first episode psychosis. Your focus will be delivering recovery-oriented care, fostering self-reliance, and working alongside family members for long-term impact.
You won’t be stretched thin – you’ll cover just the Watford area, allowing you to develop stronger relationships with clients. You’ll lead a “mini team” alongside a Band 4 and 5 colleague, coordinating treatment and ensuring quality care. This setup gives you genuine management experience in a hands-on setting. You’ll also access their internal FEP training programme and structured 12-week induction to start strong.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a mini team to manage a shared caseload and plan effective interventions
- Deliver care coordination under the Care Programme Approach (CPA)
- Carry out thorough assessments and co-develop care plans with service users and families
- Support people in their homes and local hubs, using your own transport
- Contribute to a culture of learning through mentoring junior staff and students
