Job Description

Devon County Council is seeking full-time and part-time Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHP) to join their Exeter team. The role involves responding to urgent assessments under the Mental Health Act during out-of-hours, triaging and prioritizing workloads, and working within a specialist service model. The AMHP will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure streamlined partnership working and improved service delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Registered qualified professional (Social Work, Nurse, OT, psychologist)
  • Currently authorized as an AMHP (Post-Grad Certificate in Mental Health)
  • Extensive knowledge of complex and specialist legislation (Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Care Act, Children Act)
  • Valid driving license
  • Experience in conducting MHA assessments independently
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary settings
