We are currently seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer for a 100% remote, full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive base salary, benefits, and PTO.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Azure Data Engineer, your primary focus will be on data integration and the consolidation of data from various systems. Working with large volumes of transactional data (OLTP), you will excel in developing, migrating, and consolidating data in large enterprise environments. The role involves a balance of 80% development, migration, and consolidation of data and 20% data administration and modeling work for optimal performance tuning.
Top Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a data engineering capacity (SSIS).
- Proficiency in data migration in a large enterprise environment with a focus on performance monitoring and optimization.
- Data modeling experience using tools like Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-performance code based on the SQL Server stack.
- Design and maintain Extract Transform Load jobs (ETL/ELT) and other data integrations.
- Migrate on-premise data solutions to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Create CI/CD pipelines for automated solution delivery.
- Provide support for data solutions, including remediation of failed ETL jobs and investigation of data quality issues.
- Data modeling for transactional and analytical platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, gather requirements, and provide status updates and solution support.
