Job Description DevSecOps Engineer (Remote in Europe)
CloudTalk is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their team in leveling up the company’s infrastructure with the latest security tools. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about automation and infrastructure best practices. The position offers the flexibility to work 100% remotely or from CloudTalk’s offices in Bratislava or Prague.
Responsibilities:
- Act as CloudTalk’s security ambassador, promoting and enforcing best practices.
- Evaluate and address security threats in applications and infrastructure.
- Lead penetration testing activities conducted by third-party companies.
- Extend logging sources for potential security threats.
- Create and manage security dashboards, reports, and alerts in the SIEM tool.
- Oversee security aspects of new architectures and designs.
- Design, build, harden, and maintain the core infrastructure on AWS.
- Automate infrastructure to minimize human intervention.
- Develop tools and alerts to identify and address reliability risks.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to resolve production outages.
- Participate in technical design reviews for new features and infrastructure components.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency with security tools such as IDS/IPS systems and vulnerability scanners.
- Deep understanding of AWS security practices.
- Knowledge of scripting and code review for security issues.
- Experience with vulnerability management and integrating security into CI/CD.
- Basic understanding of Terraform.
- Nice to have: auditing database security, container security, VOIP security, Kubernetes hardening, SIEM tools, and Ansible.
