About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  2. Promoting Independence:
    • Encouraging clients to retain as much independence as possible.
    • Supporting them in performing tasks they can manage with some guidance.
  3. Effective Communication:
    • Maintaining open and respectful communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
    • Keeping everyone involved in the care process informed of any changes or updates.
  4. Care Plan Adherence:
    • Following individualised care plans meticulously, making adjustments as needed in collaboration with healthcare teams.
    • Documenting any observations or changes in the client’s condition accurately.
  5. Mobility Support:
    • Driving to various client homes or care facilities as scheduled.
    • Assisting clients with mobility, ensuring they are safe and comfortable during transfers or movements.
  6. Record-Keeping:
    • Utilising IT systems to maintain detailed and confidential records.
    • Ensuring documentation is up to date and aligns with regulatory standards.
  7. Professional Development:
    • Attending training sessions and workshops to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.

What We Look For in a Candidate

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Be compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and adapt to the unique needs of each client.
  • Possess a valid driving license (preferred) for travel to client locations.

  • Experience in home care or care home settings is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
    • Familiarity with care plans and basic healthcare principles is advantageous.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to use IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
