About Royal Northern College of Music The Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), located on Oxford Road between Manchester’s two universities, is a world-leading conservatoire and one of the city’s busiest live music venues. The Conference and Catering Department at RNCM operates a busy bar and café, presenting over 400 concerts annually and hosting various events, from small drinks receptions to conferences for up to 650 people.
Job Description RNCM is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join their dedicated kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fresh ingredients and be an enthusiastic team player. This role offers a balanced work schedule, avoiding late finishes and split shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation using fresh ingredients.
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm for working with fresh ingredients.
Compensation:
- From £12,302 to £13,418 per annum pro-rata salary.
Other Details:
- Work-life balance: 25 hours per week, term time only.
- Example of shift pattern: 9.15 am – 2.15 pm, Monday to Friday.
