The Role:

  • Hands-On Management: Oversee and manage a team of 10 engineers to ensure the smooth running of the maintenance department.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Ensure effective maintenance of site machinery, respond to breakdowns, and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00.
  • Compensation: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum, including annual bonus, overtime opportunities, 8% pension, 36 days of holiday, company benefits, and potential relocation support and/or sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the maintenance team to maintain high standards of operation.
  • Overseeing the daily maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance of machinery.
  • Reacting promptly to machinery breakdowns and ensuring quick resolutions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to streamline maintenance processes and improve overall productivity.

The Person:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a maintenance department.
  • Mechanical Bias: Strong background in mechanical maintenance engineering.
  • Industry Background: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
