Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Wirral Complex Needs Service as a Support Worker. This service provides mental health care for adults with personality-based difficulties and complex trauma.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing direct and indirect psychological care while supporting the wider system involved in client care. Frequent supervision and professional development opportunities are provided.
Main Duties:
- Support service users within the community to achieve their care plan goals
- Help clients access wider support services using a strengths-based recovery approach
- Deliver skills-based interventions in group and 1:1 settings
- Assist clients on the waiting list with pre-therapeutic support
- Maintain effective communication with service users, carers, and professionals
- Provide clear, concise verbal reports and document incidents via Datix forms

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Experience with mental health difficulties (lived experience or professional care)
- Basic risk and mental health assessment skills
- Record keeping
Desirable:
- KUF Training
- Experience working in a community care setting
- Experience with healthy lifestyle interventions (smoking cessation, alcohol reduction, etc.)
