Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Weapon Systems Subject Matter Expert with a profound background in weapon system technology, spanning both the Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) and Radio Frequency (RF) domains. If you thrive on engaging with diverse projects, hands-on testing, diagnostics, and repair of foreign assets, this opportunity is tailor-made for you. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in both domains, with the versatility to apply knowledge from one domain to another.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Development:
- Conduct in-depth research, design, and development of various EO/IR and RF equipment and systems.
- Analyze wave propagation and predict antenna performance.
- Demonstrate proficiency with software-defined radios and a comprehensive understanding of RF modulation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 13 years with a Master’s degree; 10 years with a PhD or Juris Doctorate; or a High School Diploma or equivalent with 19 years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in EO/IR and/or RF domains.
- Ability to formulate test plans, analyze test data, generate technical reports, and deliver impactful technical presentations.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented individual.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Eligibility to obtain DoD TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Requirements:
- Preferably, 15+ years of experience with combined EO/IR and RF expertise.
