In this Engineering Co-op role with the Flight Management Systems team, you will contribute to systems and software development, testing, implementation, and integration activities. This is a hybrid role based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of software or systems engineering processes and methodologies.
- Follow the project’s defined systems and software process for design, development, verification, and configuration management.
- Collaborate with engineers, generating a positive team working environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be flexible.
- Exhibit strong written and oral communication skills for developing requirements, design documentation, and proposing solutions to technical problems.
- Quickly acquire technical domain knowledge and contribute to the design of sophisticated architectural systems.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with requirements capture, programming in Python, C, C++, or Ada, and avionics experience are a plus.
- Pursuing a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field.
