The Community and School Aged Immunisation Service has available Clinical Lead jobs. The ideal candidate must be a registered healthcare professional capable of administering vaccines under a Patient Group Directive.

Main Duties of the Job
- Ensure the Immunisation service operates effectively, efficiently, and safely, supporting the development of staff capabilities and practices.
- Integrate best practices into Immunisation service delivery models.
- Assist with service audits and highlight areas for improvement.
- Deliver annual immunisation updates to Practice Nurse immunisers, following RCN/PHE National Immunisation Training Standard Guidelines.
- Provide immunisation updates to HCT CSAIS as required.
- Support an effective student programme.
- Ensure the National Immunisation Service reaches the eligible cohort.
- Drive successful immunisation projects with high uptake.
- Make prudent financial decisions, including serving as an authorised signatory.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse/Midwife.
- BSc in Community Specialist Practice (School Nursing, Practice Nursing, Health Visiting, or other relevant qualifications) or equivalent experience.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Strong immunisation knowledge and experience.
- Experience in clinical audits.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of current commissioning architecture and health legislation.
- Experience in health needs analysis and evidence-based practice.
- Familiarity with safeguarding children policies and procedures.
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- IT proficiency.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Excellent record-keeping and adaptability.
- Capable of using initiative and taking responsibility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of budgets and ability to work to deadlines.
