Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medico-legal role, particularly in clinical negligence or serious injury cases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with active listening
  • Ability to manage case loads efficiently under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office and case management systems, ideally Proclaim
  • Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and time management skills
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail

About the Role

The Clinical Negligence & Serious Injury Case Handler will manage a dedicated caseload, from initial client onboarding to case resolution. This role involves close collaboration with solicitors, ensuring reports are completed in a timely manner and clients’ expectations are consistently met. The case handler will be tasked with building strong relationships with medical experts, helping manage service inquiries, and meeting court deadlines.

Key responsibilities include handling external communications, managing case referrals, recruiting providers, and overseeing the accurate logging of information into case management systems. The ability to work autonomously while maintaining high service quality is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing client, solicitor, and medical expert communications
  • Recording and retrieving case information accurately
  • Ensuring timely case progression from inception to completion
  • Meeting sales targets and delivering reports promptly
  • Maintaining medical expert relationships and delegating tasks efficiently
  • Problem-solving and meeting court-imposed deadlines
