Requirements

  • Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, particularly within multi-agency services
  • Extensive knowledge of Forensic and Secure Care

About the Role

This role involves leading the Forensic Services’ Community Services, including overseeing the Forensic Outreach & Liaison Service (FOLS) in York and the Forensic Outreach Team (FOT) in Leeds. The successful candidate will manage physical health improvements and support allied health professionals within the service.

Primary responsibilities include direct operational planning and delivery of forensic services. The role also requires working closely with clinical and medical leads, consultants, and collaborative partners across Humber & North Yorkshire and West Yorkshire to enhance service quality through a collective approach. Engaging service users and carers in quality improvements is essential for the role’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage Clinical Team Managers and Senior Occupational Therapists
  • Collaborate with Forensic Services Leadership Team, including psychologists, medical leads, and head of operations
  • Lead operational changes and improvements in community forensic services
  • Engage stakeholders, service users, and carers in the development of services
  • Oversee financial planning, budgets, and service risks
  • Ensure continuous service quality improvements and collaborative working with regional partners
