Job Overview
A staff nurse position is available within the Lower Lea Valley Integrated Community Team, which provides patient care in Cheshunt and surrounding areas. The service operates from 08:00 to 22:00, seven days a week. Applications are welcome from student nurses, newly qualified practitioners, and acute care nurses seeking community-based roles.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The role offers diverse community nursing experience in a supportive environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based nursing care.
- Contributing to a seven-day service, requiring a flexible working approach.
- Demonstrating strong teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills.
The post-holder may be required to manage the caseload and team in the absence of the Community Nursing Sister.
Role Requirements
- A valid UK driving license and access to a car for business purposes (unless covered by the Equality Act 2010).
- NMC registration (overseas candidates must have full NMC registration, including an OSCE pass).

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Essential: Registered General Nurse (RGN).
- Desirable: Evidence of professional development.
Experience and Knowledge
- Essential: Understanding of current health legislation and HCT operations.
- Desirable: Experience in caseload management and working with other agencies.
Skills and Abilities
- Essential: Strong verbal and written communication, record-keeping, supervisory, and clinical audit skills. IT proficiency is also required.
