As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will create a nurturing and positive environment for children with various needs, including those who have experienced trauma or family breakdowns. You will assist them in reaching their full potential by supporting their daily activities, personal care, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a homely environment that encourages young people to develop their life skills, self-esteem, and confidence.
  • Act as a Keyworker, providing individualized support and care to assigned young people.
  • Develop and implement care plans, conduct risk assessments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Liaise with local councils, parents, and partner agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each child.
  • Participate in meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Perform household tasks, including cleaning and cooking, to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
  • Undertake sleep-in duties and on-call responsibilities as part of your role.

Care Homes And Support Roles With Visa Sponsorship

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you should have at least two years of experience working with vulnerable young people in a residential care setting. You must also meet the qualifications set out by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) for registration. A clean driving license is preferred, as you may need to transport young people using company vehicles.
