UNDP New York is currently seeking a Remote Graphic Design and Visual Communications Intern to contribute to their mission of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As a key player in sustainable development, UNDP emphasizes collaborative action and invests in its Strategic Plan through the Global Policy Network (GPN).

The intern will play a crucial role within the Bureau for Policy and Program Support (BPPS), contributing to the implementation of the UNDP’s 2022–2025 Strategic Plan. This plan focuses on ending poverty, supporting nations in achieving the SDGs and the Paris Agreement, and addressing climate change, energy, and waste issues through integrated governance strategies and nature-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Produce visual content for the Sustainable Energy Hub’s social media platforms.
  2. Collaborate on online campaigns and content creation.
  3. Propose and update website designs to enhance user experience.
  4. Create visually appealing digital products to support communication efforts.
  5. Contribute to campaign ideation and conceptualization.
  6. Enhance presentation and document templates.
  7. Provide support to the Sustainable Energy Academy’s Visual Design Studio.
  8. Experiment with new visual techniques and stay updated on industry trends.
  9. Participate in Sustainable Energy Hub communications task forces.
  10. Offer general communications support to the team.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completed undergraduate studies and enrolled in a graduate course in social media, communications, marketing, public relations, graphic design, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in graphic design, video editing, social media community management, and media event management.
  • Proficiency in AI-based video/design tools, Adobe Creative Cloud Apps, Canva, Trello, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Premiere, Figma.
  • Excellent communication abilities in French/Spanish and English.
