Requirements

  • Good general education – Evidence of completion of QCF at Level 2/to obtain or equivalent within 6 months whilst in post
  • Ability to maintain clear accurate records and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team player and the ability to work flexibly when required to meet the needs of the service
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable

Band 2 salary as per NHS pay scale.

About the Role

The Health Care Assistant will assist patients in meeting their personal care needs, recording observations, and completing bedside documentation. The role involves general cleaning in the clinical environment, preparing bed spaces, and cleaning equipment. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of nurses responsible for providing, maintaining, and coordinating a high standard of planned holistic care and nursing treatments under the indirect supervision of the nurse in charge of the Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care to patients
  • Assisting with serving meals and drinks throughout the day
  • Recording observations and accompanying patients for investigations
