Compensation and Work Schedule

  • Base Salary: $80,000 to $115,000 annually, paid bi-monthly
  • Hours: EST hours with a commitment to off-standard hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Experience Requirement: Minimum of 4 years in email marketing with significant experience in performance marketing/lead generation

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Lead Email Marketing Manager will spearhead the lifecycle marketing strategy for Launch Potato’s FinanceBuzz brand, which attracts around 7 million monthly visits. This role offers a unique opportunity to rebuild, scale, and reimagine an already successful email brand generating over $1M in annual revenue. The ideal candidate is not just a strategic thinker but a hands-on executor, ready to dive into the work and drive impactful campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle marketing strategies, including email, SMS, and push notifications, to engage and convert consumers.
  • Automation and Personalization: Enhance and expand automated marketing processes, creating personalized experiences and continuously testing and refining campaigns.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize consumer psychology insights and data analysis to inform strategy and execution, ensuring campaigns drive significant business impact, including revenue growth, increased lifetime value (LTV), and higher revenue per user (RPU).
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the creation, execution, and performance analysis of various campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work closely with the Messaging Operations Manager to set up API connections and data flows, ensuring accurate data architecture within the marketing ESP. Lead the team in maintaining high standards of email code and staying updated with the latest trends and platforms.
  • Communication and Reporting: Present detailed analyses of campaign results, long-standing automations, and overall program performance. Flag trends and propose solutions to enhance the lifecycle and marketing team’s effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The perfect candidate will have:

  • Extensive Experience: 4-6 years in email marketing and remarketing, particularly within the performance marketing/lead generation industry.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving department and company-level key results.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong expertise in handling data, primarily first-party data, and proficiency with BI tools (e.g., Looker), Excel/G-Suite, and other platform data tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to develop cross-department relationships and keep stakeholders informed of performance.
  • Drive and Curiosity: An insatiable curiosity and a relentless drive to succeed and innovate in lifecycle marketing.
