Job Description
ILS Case Management is seeking dedicated Bank Support Workers in Wanstead, London. This zero-hours contract offers flexibility with shifts available after school hours, weekends, and waking nights. The role involves providing support to a young client with dystonic Cerebral Palsy and epilepsy, assisting with daily care needs, transfers, monitoring seizures, and engaging in social and therapeutic activities.

Key responsibilities include

  • Assisting with all aspects of daily care needs
  • Performing safe transfers using hoisting equipment
  • Monitoring and documenting seizure activity
  • Engaging in social activities and therapy programs
  • Providing waking night care, including postural management and personal care
  • Performing domestic tasks as required

Skills and Qualifications

  • Essential:
  • Experience working with individuals with medical conditions, especially epilepsy
  • Hardworking, child and family-centered approach
  • Valid driving license and ability to drive the client’s Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle (WAV)
  • Desirable:
  • Experience working waking nights
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Enthusiasm, patience, and willingness to learn

Compensation

  • Pay rate: £15.00 per hour (Monday to Friday), £16.00 per hour (weekends)
  • On-going training and support provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
  • Free DBS check
  • Induction and relevant training opportunities (including The Care Certificate)
  • Regular clinical supervision and review meetings
  • Continuous support from a dedicated Case Manager and HR department
