Job Overview: An excellent opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join Oxborough ward at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King’s Lynn. As a Healthcare Assistant, the focus will be on keeping patients at the centre of all activities, providing high-quality care. Individuals are sought who uphold the trust values, contributing to making patients feel comfortable and well cared for during their stay. Flexibility and adaptability are required to meet the ever-changing needs of the unit environment. The goal is to provide the highest quality of personal care and support to patients while they are in the hospital. Healthcare Assistants will work under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Successful candidates will attend the GROW Programme, the enhanced induction programme at QEHKL, which includes mandatory training, teaching fundamental skills for the role, and participation in the Caring with Kindness programme. The course is practical, offering time to practice new skills before starting the new role.

Main Duties of the Job
Enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Support Workers are sought to join teams and support them in providing effective care in a safe and therapeutic environment. Vacancies exist across the Trust in various areas.
The successful applicants must have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated flexibility
- The ability to work as part of a team, as well as make decisions autonomously
- Willingness to undertake further training and mandatory updates
- Previous experience in a care environment or the NHS is desirable but not essential, as support will be provided while learning the role.
A comprehensive induction programme will be provided, and candidates will be supported to complete the Care Certificate.
