About the Organisation

Job Overview

Two highly motivated individuals with experience in data protection, privacy, and records management are sought to join the Information Governance (IG) team. The roles involve supporting the ICB and its Integrated Care System (ICS) partners in delivering their objectives while adhering to legislative requirements.

Main Duties

  • Providing effective advice on the IG agenda under the guidance of the IG Manager.
  • Supporting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in advising on compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
  • Engaging in effective communication and stakeholder management, internally and externally.
  • Traveling within and beyond the ICB’s geographical area as required.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders in formal settings.
  • Assisting member practices and their appointed Data Protection Officers with compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining constructive relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Addressing contentious issues constructively in stakeholder engagements.
  • Participating in relevant projects and initiatives to provide analytical and informational expertise.
  • Providing briefings, reports, and risk assessments to teams, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Engaging with the general public on information rights under the Data Protection Act 2018.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in data protection or information governance.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant specialist area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of conveying concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to unexpected demands.

Hybrid Working

The ICB supports flexible working arrangements, combining home and office-based work where possible. Candidates should ensure they have a safe and appropriate home working environment with necessary resources, including broadband access.
