Role Overview
The Senior Support Worker/Associate role is an exciting opportunity within the Sandwell School Health Nursing Team. This role supports the delivery of the communication strategy, including managing social media outputs, coordinating consultations with service users and partners, and maintaining a caseload. Responsibilities also include processing referrals and engaging with public health initiatives to improve the lives of children, young people, and families.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering the communication strategy, including maintaining social media platforms and newsletters.
- Coordinate and lead consultations with service users and partners, preparing reports with actionable recommendations.
- Provide administrative support, including managing telephone lines and other service-related tasks.
- Conduct health promotion sessions in schools and group settings to support public health initiatives.
- Manage a caseload, including healthy lifestyle guidance, emotional well-being support, and behavior management referrals.
- Undertake specific health programs, such as the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP).
- Prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring timely referral to appropriate services as needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 Healthcare Assistant Practitioner qualification or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience within health and social care settings.
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel requirements.
