Job Description:
Doctors Relocate is seeking applicants for the post of Specialty Doctor in Care of the Elderly for an NHS hospital based in South West England. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated doctor with a keen interest in Elderly Care and Frailty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Geriatric Ward Experience: Participate in a rota providing care for geriatric and frailty patients on the geriatric wards.
- Team Collaboration: Be part of a Consultant-led team of junior doctors, aiding in leadership and participation in ward rounds and board rounds.
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality care tailored to the needs of elderly patients, ensuring their health and well-being are prioritized.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Clinical Duties: Perform clinical duties as required, including assessments, treatments, and management plans for elderly patients.
Essential Criteria:
- GMC Registration: Must have GMC registration or be in the process of registering with the GMC.
- Qualifications: MRCP or equivalent.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience and interest in Elderly Care and Frailty.
- Skills: Excellent clinical skills, ability to work as part of a team, and strong communication skills.
